The final full moon of the astrological year arrives on March 3rd, 3:36 am PST / 6:36 am EST, bringing culmination, resolve & release. This is the closing chapter of the zodiacal wheel... the last exhale before we cross the threshold into Aries season and begin again. A moment suspended between endings and initiation. Between what has been dissolving and what is quietly preparing to take form.
Not only a full moon, but a potent lunar eclipse, this lunation carries karmic weight. Eclipses accelerate timelines. They reveal what has been hidden. They eclipse what has run its course so that something more aligned can emerge. It reminds us that death clears the path for life. And not just any life… but a mystical one. A life where spirit & body are no longer at odds.... one where devotion is lived & where the sacred is woven through the ordinary.
The Virgin & The Fish
With the axis of Virgo & Pisces activated, the archetypes that come alive are the Virgin and the Fish... symbols that run far deeper than their surface interpretations. The Virgin, long before Christianity, was not a woman defined by purity in relation to a man. She was sovereign; whole unto herself... priestess devoted to the sacred. The Fish, ancient symbol of Pisces (& of Christ), of the mystic swimming in unseen waters... represents the part of us that knows we are both human and divine. In the myth of the Virgin Mary conceiving Jesus, we are shown a symbolic truth: that divinity is birthed through the human body. That enlightenment does not bypass form, but incarnates through it.

Whether or not Christianity resonates with you, the symbolism is archetypal. Jesus, symbolized by the fish, reminds us that our humanity and our divinity are bound together by the cord of fate. The path to awakening comes through the body, through sensation, through the lived experience of being human. The energy of one sign cannot exist without its opposite, and when we apply this principle to this lunation, we understand that our ability to connect with the divine (Pisces) is directly proportional to our ability to connect to our human form (Virgo)... our bodies, rituals, discernment, and the ways we bring the mystical into the ordinary.
The Virgin was a priestess… a woman in her full creative power. She mastered her creative life force to such a degree that she became a vessel for divine conception. Jesus, in this sense, is a living metaphor... the embodiment of what becomes possible when spirit is anchored in form. We, too, are constantly co-creating with the unseen current. The question is whether we are conscious of & in discernment of how we channel it.
Releasing Control & Judgment
Because the Moon in Virgo sits close to the South Node, we are releasing the shadows of Virgo... the need to control, contain, predict, perfect, or judge. Virgo at its highest expression is discernment, devotion, refinement. But in shadow, it becomes rigidity and judgement, emotional compartmentalization, and cold self-protection disguised as responsibility. Where has discernment turned into judgment? Where has structure become isolation? In what ways has trying to “get it right” kept you from surrendering to what is actually unfolding?

At the same time, Virgo’s ruling planet, Mercury, is moving retrograde (until March 19) through Pisces... the sign of its fall. Although it struggles here, Mercury in Pisces softens logic, gently dissolving linear thinking & making the mind more porous. Pisces invites us into symbolic awareness, into intuition, into the liminal space between what can be explained and what can only be felt. When something looses form, it becomes malleable - and that is the gift of Pisces moving through the planet of the mind... it gives us an opportunity to reassess and refine the way we think. If Pisces is the ocean of collective memory (what some call the Akashic field) then the patterns we are reassessing may be older than this lifetime. They may be ancestral, cultural or collective. We are not just revising personal habits. We are dissolving inherited mental frameworks around control, worth, devotion, and sacrifice.
Walking the Unpaved Path
Layered beneath this eclipse is the lingering initiation of Saturn and Neptune meeting at 0 degrees Aries... a rare once-in-a-lifetime conjunction that marked a collective courageous beginning. Saturn gives structure; Neptune gives vision. In Aries, the sign of ignition, this meeting asks us to embody what we once only dreamed about. To walk an unpaved path... to move through fear in order to manifest something that has been floating in the ether for a long time. There is no map for what we are building now... only instinct.
Mars has also been active, stirring tension with Uranus before leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces. The masculine (within and without) is undergoing reinvention. Old paradigms of force and dominance are dissolving. Action now requires sensitivity. Courage now requires intuition. The way forward is not brute strength, but embodied awareness. For many women, this may be surfacing a reckoning in relationship... particularly with men. Illusions are thinning. Patterns around chasing, fixing, accommodating or hardening are becoming harder to ignore. The masculine, both within us and mirrored back through others, is being asked to soften without collapsing, to act without dominating, to lead without disconnecting. Action & accountability now require emotional presence, courage now requires vulnerability. The way forward is not force, but attuned embodiment.

Venus, exalted in Pisces, moves alongside Mercury and the North Node. We are being asked to trust divine timing in relational matters. To soften the grip & to release the illusion that control creates safety. We cannot control what happens to us, but we have full agency over how we respond. This activation of both relational planets is transforming the way we relate... to masculine and feminine energies within ourselves and in others. What beliefs around the masculine still occupy space in your mind? What rigid boundaries have hardened into coldness? What are you ready to release in order to experience the connection you say you desire? Divine timing is not chronological and we are not its powerless subjects. Divine timing is not about the Universe deciding when you are ready for something, but when you become the vibrational match for what you desire to experience.
Pisces’ traditional ruler, Jupiter, is exalted in Cancer and making a harmonious aspect to this eclipse. Jupiter here expands the emotional body. Cancer is the ocean of feeling, the inner home, the mother field. Emotional growth is available... but without Virgo’s grounding, we risk being swept away. This eclipse offers containment without suppression & structure without rigidity. The medicine comes from moving sensation rather than analyzing it. From letting feelings circulate through breath, dance, yoga, nature. From allowing the body to metabolize what the mind cannot solve.
Body as Altar
This Virgo Lunar Eclipse is not about perfection but presence. It is about remembering that the mystical life is here... in your habits, your rituals, in how you tend your body, how you soften your judgments & in how you surrender without collapsing.
Death clears the path for life. The question is: what part of you is ready to be eclipsed so that something more embodied can be born?
Much love,

Where is 12 degrees of Virgo/Pisces in my chart? How does that relate to the themes described above?
Where am I gripping for control because I am afraid to trust my body’s wisdom?
Where have I hardened toward the masculine out of disappointment or self-protection?
What would it look like to hold discernment without closing my heart?
If death truly clears the path for life… what part of me is ready to be eclipsed?
What seed is quietly asking to be danced into form as we approach Aries season?

Embodiment Practice: Dancing Your Seed
Light a candle.
Stand still for a moment and place one hand on your lower belly, one on your heart.
Take three slow breaths. Whisper:“I release what is complete.”
Put on one song that makes you soften. Let your body move slowly at first... contained, precise, intentional. Notice where you’ve been gripping & try to let it go.
Put on a more upbeat song... allow the movement to build. Open your chest, let your hips circle & your spine undulate.
Imagine you are dancing a seed into life - cracking open in the spring. Not forcing but inviting. Feel the threshold between ending and ignition. Feel Aries on the horizon.
When the song ends, place both hands on your womb or lower belly and whisper:
“I trust what is being born through me.” Blow out the candle.
