As we approach the darkest day of the year, the cosmos brings us a final surge of light before the end of the calendar year… the last of three super full moons in the mutable air of Gemini. On Dec 4th at 5:16pm PST/8:16 pm EST, this lunation stirs our minds, words and nervous systems awake. There is something unmistakably fated about this lunation as it squares the Lunar Nodes of Fate and activates relationship and evolutionary planets. It arrives like a truth rising in the throat before we can swallow it down. It marks the end of a cycle not just in the calendar year, but in our inner landscapes… a moment of deep integration after the emotional excavation of Scorpio season and more prominently, the deeply cathartic and cleansing year of 2025.
We are in the gestation period now, the womb of winter, where nothing is meant to happen quickly. The Earth sleeps, but our inner worlds do not. Under this lunation, threads tighten, stories clarify, and truths we have been circling all year begin to integrate.
The Gemini–Sagittarius Axis: Truth, the Mind & the Higher Self
This Full Moon in Gemini highlights the axis of truth and meaning… Gemini’s curiosity meeting Sagittarius’ wisdom, the mind meeting the wisdom of the Higher Self. There is difficulty, but hopefully also deep trust if surrender has been learned throughout our eclipse seasons since last Fall. The Moon stands directly opposite Mars in Sagittarius, pushing emotional honesty to the surface all at once. This opposition makes it difficult… almost impossible… to hide what we feel. Mars in Sagittarius demands clean, direct expression because he burns through masks, through polite silence, through the places we swallow our needs until they turn sour in our mouths.
This has been showing up everywhere… in the collective, in clients, in my own life. The medicine is the same: express your truth before your nervous system reaches its breaking point. Speak the boundary before you shake, and say the need before it turns into resentment. This is throat chakra healing in its most embodied form, where communication becomes a somatic act, one of love and authenticity.
The Mutable Grand Cross: Evolution Through Tension

The Moon, Sun, Mars, and the Lunar Nodes align themselves into a grand cross… a tense but balanced aspect that presses us into evolution. Mutable signs move like water, like wind, like shifting sand — variable, adaptable, inconsistent. They come at the end of a season to dissolve what is rigid, outdated, and based in fear rather than truth. A grand square demands action, honesty and maturity. It asks for change that cannot be delayed. And because the Nodes sit on the Virgo–Pisces axis, the deeper lesson becomes one of discernment versus dissolution, self-trust versus self-abandonment. Do I speak from fear, or from my centre? Do I silence myself to control the outcome, or do I trust the process of honest connection?
Because this lunation locks into the karmic Nodes, there is a sense that two timelines are revealing themselves at once. One arises when we react from fear, projection, or the instinctive defenses of our nervous system; the other emerges when we choose awareness — when we pause, breathe, and communicate from our centre rather than our wounds. These nodes act like cosmic pressure points, testing our ability to stay conscious in moments where old patterns would normally take over. And under this Full Moon, our intuition is heightened — we can almost feel the outcome of each choice before it happens. The universe doesn’t punish or reward here; it simply mirrors our level of presence. What we choose now writes the next chapter.
Mercury Direct in Scorpio: Messages From the Underworld
Mercury, ruler of this Full Moon, has just stationed direct in Scorpio, retracing its steps out of the underworld. We are still submerged in the waters of emotional truth, still integrating what we’ve learned about intimacy, about projection, fear, and desire through the course of November’s Mercury retrograde. As Mercury begins its journey back toward Sagittarius, clarity arrives in waves as words come slowly and insights drift in. This is a liminal threshold where the inner and outer worlds speak to each other in new ways … perhaps through intuition, knowing, dreams or the body.
And the truth surfacing now isn’t new. It has been gathering itself in the dark under the Scorpio New Moon, and even further back to the Mercury retrograde that began November 9th. The truth has been incubating in the places we’ve resisted looking, in the emotions we’ve tried to tidy, in the conversations we weren't quite ready to have. Scorpio softened our defenses, helped us sit with the rawness, and revealed what needed to be acknowledged. Gemini simply delivers the message. This Full Moon doesn’t create the truth, but it exposes what has been forming in us all along.
However, Mercury doesn’t complete its post-retrograde shadow until Dec 16th, meaning that something is still unwritted here. Something about our experience throughout its retrograde is still being integrated.
Gemini: When Words Become Spells

Gemini, the sign of the Twins, holds the sacred duality of our experience — the light and the dark, the yin and the yang, the child and the elder, the mind and the intuition. It reminds us that wholeness is not a singular point but a dance — a sacred union of opposites.
With this moon, we are invited to hold our contradictions with compassion and remain open to new perspectives without abandoning our own centre. To allow curiosity to soften us and to understand that every thought and word is a spell cast into the architecture of our reality.
In Tarot, Gemini corresponds to The Magician — the reminder that our words shape worlds, that speech is alchemy, that intention is creative fire. In this place, sound becomes medicine and truth becomes the way we co-create our reality.
As it rules the lungs, Gemini can teach us how to 'express what's on our chest', meaning what lives in our hearts/throats unsaid. And in doing so, it unites the polarity within through the state that the ancient alchemists understood as the Inner Marriage. And Mercury, key force in this process and ruler of this lunation, sits at the threshold in the final degrees of Scorpio, acting as the psychopomp who guides us between worlds: between shadow and insight, between emotion and articulation, between instinct and understanding. Mercury becomes the alchemist’s fire ... the catalyst that transforms raw feeling into conscious truth.
Under this Full Moon, we are invited not only to speak our truth, but to integrate the forces inside us that have long been at odds: the part that wants safety and the part that craves freedom, the part that fears loss and the part that longs for expansion, the mind that analyzes and the heart that already knows. This is the essence of alchemy ... not turning lead to gold, but turning fragmentation into wholeness.
When we exhale what has been sitting on our chest — the unspoken grief, the clarified truth, the trembling desire — something unites inside us. The intelligence of the heart comes online, guiding us toward the timeline aligned with our highest integrity.
Chiron & Jupiter: The Second Arrow & the Work of Attachment Healing
Chiron’s ongoing square to Jupiter (the ruling planet of Sagittarius season) adds another layer of vulnerability, inviting us to examine where we react not from the present moment, but from our oldest wounds. The ancient Buddhists call this the “second arrow”… the storyline, projection, or self-blame we shoot at ourselves long after the first arrow (the trigger) lands.
This moon reveals where we’ve been wounding ourselves by assuming the worst, collapsing into old attachment patterns, or believing our needs are too much in an effort to protect ourselves from anticipated pain. It invites us to pause and ask: is this fear, or is this truth? Is this my wound speaking, or my wisdom? This theme has been with us since the first Super Full Moon in Aries in October — but new insights might be emerging now.
Integration in the Womb of Winter

As the year winds down and the nights stretch longer, this moon becomes the light guiding us inward. Integration is not tidy and healing isn’t linear… but this moon offers clarity where there was confusion, release where there was tension, and the courage to speak what has been sitting in our throats for far too long. Right now, we’re called to metabolize, to root our truths into the body and integrate our year. To let our voices be instruments of our becoming.
Stepping Into the Spiral...
And as we step slowly toward Solstice — toward the stillness of winter and the turning of the wheel — I’m finally opening the doors again for ceremony. Many of you know that Astrobloom’s beloved New Moon Circles and the Lunar Alchemy Collective have been on pause this past year. They weren’t gone… they were gestating. Re-forming themselves into something deeper, more elemental, more whole.
Because while the Moon will always be our mirror ... the great reflector that filters every cosmic frequency into something we can feel ... the cycles we’re meant to live by are bigger, older, and more woven into the Earth & Sky itself.
So this year’s Winter Solstice Spiral will be the threshold into what comes next: a sneak peek into Earth & Sky, a year-long ceremonial journey for those who feel called to walk the Goddess path with me, to live in rhythm with the seasons, and to weave the elemental teachings, embodiment practices, and rituals that anchor the soul back into nature’s timing.
This Solstice gathering will open the portal ... and for those who wish to continue, you’ll have access to a special founding member upgrade into the full Earth & Sky Spiral for 2026.
It’s my way of honouring those who have been with me since the beginning and those who feel the call to enter this next evolution of Astrobloom’s work.
Much love,
xo Vanja

What truth has been rising in my throat that I’ve hesitated to express?
Where do I silence myself to maintain connection, and what does that cost me?
What is the “second arrow” I tend to aim at myself during moments of vulnerability?
What new perspective is trying to emerge through this tension or conflict?
How can I speak from my centre rather than my fear or reactivity?
What truth am I ready to honour as I close the chapter of 2025?

The Alchemy of Your Truth Ritual
Throat Chakra | Nervous System | Sound Medicine
1. Arrive + Ground
Sit comfortably. Place one hand on your throat, one on your heart. Take three long exhales out the mouth, letting tension drain down your spine.
2. HUM Mantra (1–2 minutes)
Inhale gently. On your exhale, chant: HUUUUUMMMMMM
Feel the vibration in your throat and chest. Let the sound soften the nervous system and clear stagnant emotion. Repeat for 8–12 breaths.
3. Sound Bowl or Humming Flow
If you have a singing bowl, play it softly and breathe with the waves.
If not, simply continue humming ... letting it rise and fall intuitively.
4. Expressive Breath + Tone
Inhale through the nose. Exhale with a gentle tone: AHHHH ... releasing whatever the body is holding. Repeat 3–5 times.
5. Whispered Truth
Place both hands over your throat and whisper: “My truth is safe with me. My voice is my alignment.” Sit in silence for a breath or two to seal the ritual.
