The Super New Moon in Gemini arrives on June 14th at 7:55pm PST at 24 degrees, offering us an opportunity to clear the slate and begin again.
Every New Moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle. As the Moon disappears into darkness, we are invited into a space of possibility; a moment between what has been and what is becoming. In Gemini, it is a time to release outdated patterns, perspectives, and narratives that no longer support our growth, and plant intentions for what we wish to cultivate moving forward.
This New Moon follows the Sagittarius Full Moon, which illuminated the beliefs, stories and assumptions shaping our reality. Sagittarius asks us to zoom out and examine the bigger picture. It reveals the philosophies we live by and the meaning we assign to our experiences.
Now, Gemini asks us to zoom back in and examine the conversations we are having with ourselves. What stories have we accepted as truth? Is the perspective we've been carrying still the one we want to live by? This is a New Moon of fresh perspectives, open minds and new possibilities.
The Archetype of Gemini: The Wisdom of the Twins
Gemini is often misunderstood. Popular astrology tends to reduce this sign to stereotypes of inconsistency, indecision, or having "two sides." Represented by the Twins and ruled by Mercury, Gemini actually teaches us that life is rarely as simple as right or wrong, black or white, this or that.
The Twins symbolize duality... the ability to hold multiple perspectives simultaneously.
They teach us that two seemingly contradictory truths can coexist. Where Sagittarius, its opposite, seeks a singular truth... Gemini remains curious enough to continue asking questions.
As a mutable air sign, Gemini is adaptable by nature. Air governs the realm of thoughts, ideas, communication, perception and learning. Mutable signs are designed to evolve, adjust and respond to changing circumstances. Together, these qualities create an archetype that understands something many of us resist: Growth often requires us to change our minds. Many of us become attached to our stories because they help us make sense of the world. We develop beliefs about who we are, what we deserve, how relationships work and what is possible for us. Over time, these stories can become so familiar that we stop questioning them. Yet the stories we tell ourselves are only interpretations... Gemini reminds us that when we change the lens through which we view an experience, the experience itself often changes.
This New Moon invites us to loosen our grip on certainty and become curious again.
What assumptions are you carrying that deserve to be questioned? What perspective are you ready to outgrow? What becomes possible when you allow yourself to see a situation differently?
Mercury in Cancer Square Saturn in Aries: Courageous Conversations
As ruler of this New Moon, Mercury plays an important role in the story unfolding now.
Having recently entered Cancer, Mercury shifts our attention away from purely intellectual understanding and toward emotional truth. Our thoughts become more connected to memory, intuition and feeling. We may find ourselves reflecting on the past, revisiting old conversations, or noticing emotional patterns that have quietly shaped our perceptions.
At the same time, Mercury forms a challenging aspect to Saturn in Aries. This combination can feel uncomfortable, but it is ultimately clarifying. Saturn asks us to acknowledge what we know, even when it feels difficult... to have the conversation, establish the boundary and to stop making excuses for what we can clearly see.
Mercury in Cancer reminds us that communication is about having emotional honesty, which requires courage. Together, they challenge us to find the balance between compassion and accountability. Between understanding someone's behaviour and excusing it; between keeping the peace and honouring our own needs.
This energy may reveal where we have been minimizing our feelings, avoiding necessary conversations, or remaining silent about truths that need to be acknowledged.
Venus Enters Leo: Let Yourself Be Seen

Just one day before the New Moon, Venus leaves the nurturing waters of Cancer and enters fiery Leo, shifting the relational field noticably until July 9th. While Cancer seeks safety and belonging, Leo seeks authentic self-expression. This transit reminds us that life is more meaningful when we allow ourselves to play, love, create and express ourselves wholeheartedly.
Venus in Leo highlights the importance of creativity, passion and generosity in our relationships and our lives. It inspires us to celebrate what makes us unique rather than hiding the parts of ourselves that stand out.
At its highest expression, this transit encourages us to lead with our hearts, sharing our gifts, loving boldly and allowing ourselves to be seen. In its lowest expression, Venus in Leo can also reveal the places where our self-worth has become tangled with validation. How much of our confidence depends on external approval? How often do we shape ourselves into versions we believe will be more accepted, more desirable or more lovable?
Leo teaches us that authentic confidence is not built through attention, but self-expression - even (and especially) imperfectly. This transit invites us to stop performing for approval and start sharing ourselves from a place of genuine authenticity, because the right people will resonate with who you truly are.
Chiron Enters Taurus: Healing Our Relationship With Worth
One of the most significant shifts of the month arrives just days after the New Moon on June 19th as Chiron enters Taurus for the first time since 1983. While Chiron will retrograde back into Aries September until April 2027, it will remain in Taurus until 2034, offering an important glimpse into a new chapter of collective healing.
For the past several years, Chiron in Aries has focused on wounds connected to identity, autonomy, courage and self-definition. Now the focus begins to shift toward our relationship to self-worth, abundance, embodiment and the physical world.
Taurus teaches us about inherent value... the kind that exists before we accomplish anything. Not through proving ourselves, receiving recognition or being chosen... but just for existing. Over the coming years, Chiron in Taurus will invite us to examine where scarcity, comparison, survival fears or external validation have shaped our relationship with ourselves. It will ask us to heal wounds connected to our bodies, our sensuality, our relationship with money and our ability to receive. Most importantly, it will remind us that worthiness is not something we earn, but something we remember.
As this New Moon encourages us to question old narratives, Chiron in Taurus asks us to examine one of the deepest stories many of us carry: The belief that our value depends upon what we achieve, produce, attract, or receive from others. What if your worth has been present all along?
Working With The Gemini Super New Moon

The gift of Gemini is perspective. While the Sagittarius Full Moon illuminated the beliefs, narratives, and assumptions shaping our lives, this New Moon invites us to approach those stories with fresh eyes. What if there is another way to interpret what happened? What if the conclusion you've drawn is only one possibility among many? What if the story isn't wrong... just incomplete?
The Twins remind us that growth often comes from being willing to consider a different perspective. As Mercury moves through Cancer, pay attention to the emotional stories that arise most often. The ones that seem to repeat themselves in relationships, friendships, work, or your sense of self. These stories often reveal where deeper healing and awareness are asking to emerge.
If you'd like support exploring these patterns more deeply, this is a beautiful time to connect with your own Lunar Self. Our own natal Moon sign is the portal into this inner part of self... and it reveals the emotional needs, conditioning and protective strategies that shape how we perceive and respond to the world around us. Embodiment Practice | Breathing New Perspectives
Gemini is an air sign associated with the lungs, breath, communication and perception. This simple practice invites you to create space between yourself and the stories you've been carrying.
Find a comfortable seat with your journal. Close your eyes and take 10 slow, steady breaths, allowing the ribcage to expand fully with each inhale and soften with each exhale.
Draw a line down the center of a page. On the left side, write:
The Story I've Been Telling Myself
Spend a few minutes writing freely. Then pause. Take three deep breaths.
On the right side, write:
Another Possibility Without forcing an answer, explore an alternative perspective. What else might be true?
Remember: Gemini's wisdom is not about finding the "right" answer. It is about remaining curious enough to discover that there is more than one way of seeing. Take a final deep breath and notice which perspective creates more space, possibility, and freedom within you.
Follow with the journal prompts below.

Where is 24 degrees Gemini in my chart? What does this tell me about the story I am ready to release?
What story or belief am I being asked to see from a different perspective?
Where in my life am I trapped in "either/or" thinking? What becomes possible if both can be true?
What version of my future becomes available when I release the need to have all the answers?
