On September 21st at 12:55pm PST/3:55 pm EST the Sun, Moon and South Node meet in the Solar Eclipse in Virgo at the 29th degree. This energy activates the threshold between endings and beginnings - as solar eclipses typically bring fresh cycles, but this one is flavored with paradox... it arrives at the very last degree of Virgo, tightly conjunct the South Node, a point of karmic release and endings.
This lunation reminds us that beginnings often require endings first. What must be surrendered in order for your next path of service, devotion, or embodiment to truly begin?
Solar Eclipse: A Destined Turning Point
Eclipses are fated events - times when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align to reset our personal and collective storylines. Unlike New Moons, they are not moments to manifest or push intentions forward. Instead, they are wild cards, often unpredictable, designed to realign us with our soul’s path. They invite us to observe, soften, and flow with what is shifting, rather than control it. Because Virgo is all about control - this eclipse in particular is showing us all the ways we cling to perfectionism and control, and forcing us into the Pisces North Node of complete trust and surrender.
Mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo & Pisces) will feel this energy the most, but everyone will be feeling it wherever Pisces and Virgo live in their charts. In my own life, this eclipse sits right on top of my Sun, Mars & Midheaven - and I can tell you it’s been a complete rollercoaster. My Virgo stellium is trying to plan things long term, but the glaring inability to control all the possible outcomes is becoming more and more obvious. It’s serving as an incredibly important reminder that control is often a trauma response rooted in fear of the unknown. If you’d like to find out how this potent energy is affecting you personally, book a Cosmic Alchemy Session with me!
When we cling and control, we actually add stress and worry to our lives - and this eclipse wants us to release that. To trust. To surrender. Not to aimlessly float - but to step into the threshold of this new beginning with a balance of intention and faith. But before the new beginning can emerge, you may be asked to shed long held beliefs and even deep rooted ancestral patterns.
Of course, this eclipse isn't happening in isolation. Think back to the Virgo New Moon on August 22… what was beginning then? And even further back to March 2025's eclipse in Virgo. The patterns will emerge.
Virgo’s Symbolism: Separating Wheat from Chaff

This eclipse also falls on the threshold of the Fall Equinox, a moment of balance between light and dark, and the turning of the seasons toward harvest. Virgo is deeply tied to this archetype: the Virgin holding wheat. This image speaks to discernment - the ability to separate the wheat from the chaff, to keep what nourishes and release what depletes. Virgo reminds us to use our time, energy, and resources wisely, so we are sustained through the darker months ahead. At its core, Virgo teaches boundaries and sacred discrimination - not to judge, but to align our daily choices with what truly matters.
Saturn’s Opposition: The Tension of Containment
This Virgo Solar Eclipse almost directly opposes Saturn retrograde in Pisces, which only just swam back into Pisces at the Full Moon Eclipse on September 7. Saturn here asks: Are you creating boundaries that support your healing and service? Or are you dissolving into self-sacrifice, confusing martyrdom with devotion?
Saturn in Pisces is the wise container reminding us that true service requires does not come at the cost of self-sacrifice. What structures are you building that support the sacred work you are here to do?
At the same time, Neptune sits in the early degrees of Aries, also influencing this energy - asking us to sit at the threshold of the old and the new, and to trust in the insticts guiding us towards new beginnings.
Mercury & The Kite Illuminate The Mind’s Programs

The Sun and Moon in Virgo sit in a wide conjunction with Mercury, ruler of the eclipse, newly in Libra. Together, they form a Grand Trine (a harmonious aspect) with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. And because of the eclipse’s opposition to Saturn In Pisces and Neptune in Aries, this alignment actually creates a rare Kite formation in the skies, with the Sun, Moon, South Node and Mercury are at the apex point.
The Grand Trine softens the heaviness of the lunation’s opposition to Saturn & Neptune, allowing us to channel tension into creative breakthroughs. Uranus encourages adaptability and innovation in how we communicate - reminding us that change is an opportunity, not a threat. Pluto deepens the picture, pulling us deep into our subconscious programs to confront our unconscious motives, fears, and desires. This is an opportunity for both liberation and transformation if we allow ourselves to face what lies beneath the surface.
With Pluto and Uranus involved, there are major themes of freedom emerging. We may be asking ourselves questions like: what are my beliefs around freedom? How does this show up in my life and the decisions I make?
Venus in Virgo + Mars in Libra: Fated Crossroads in Relationships
Both relationship planets are powerfully aspected under this eclipse, heightening the sense that our connections are catalysts for profound soul growth.
Venus in Virgo is squaring Uranus in Gemini, highlighting the tension between our desire for freedom and our longing for intimacy and security. This aspect can bring sudden shifts in how we relate, how we value ourselves, and even how we steward money and resources. Relationships (or encounters) that spark now may radically reshape our perspectives. Venus in Virgo wants to be of service, but Uranus asks the question: is this service through sacred work, or are we enslaving ourselves through self-sacrifice?
Mars in Libra, is approaching a square to Pluto in Aquarius (exact on Sept 24 when it enters Scorpio). This intensifies passion, willpower, and even obsession, but it can also surface power struggles or fears of being overpowered by desire. Mars reminds us that acting unconsciously only repeats old karmic cycles; while consciously channeling this fire can actually fuel our transformation and empowerment.
Mars Opposes Chiron

At the same time, Mars in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, the Wounded Healer. Some astrologers consider Chiron to be the ruler of Virgo, tying this eclipse even more deeply into themes of service and integration.
This opposition spotlights the tension between: our instinct to assert ourselves (Aries) vs. our tendency to compromise for harmony (Libra), and our desire to act vs. our fear of wounding others - or being wounded in return.
Chiron reminds us that our greatest pain often points to our deepest medicine. This eclipse may trigger old relational wounds - especially around rejection, abandonment, or not being seen - but it’s also an invitation to heal those patterns through conscious awareness. Virgo’s medicine isn’t about perfecting or fixing; it’s about weaving our broken places into wisdom and service, without losing ourselves in the process.
Virgo - Pisces Axis: Service vs. Sacrifice
This eclipse, like the previous one - highlights the Virgo–Pisces axis, which asks us to reconcile: the mind vs. body, control vs. surrender, and service vs. self-sacrifice.
Virgo teaches sacred precision and embodied devotion. Pisces dissolves boundaries into unity and compassion. Together, they invite us to release the illusion of perfection and control, and embrace service that nourishes rather than depletes us.
This South Node eclipse suggests it’s time to shed outdated identities of “the fixer, the martyr, or the one who holds it all together.” We are being invited into soul-aligned service that honors our bodies, our limits, and our pleasure as sacred - but first we must let something go. What is that for you?

What cycle from the last Virgo New Moon (August 22) and March 2025 are coming up again?
Where in my life am I confusing service with self-sacrifice?
How do I attempt to control (myself, others, outcomes) when I am really being asked to surrender?
What outdated roles, identities, or obligations am I ready to release at this South Node eclipse?
What does soul-aligned service look and feel like in my body?

Work intuitively with Virgo Ritual Tools to sink into the structure and flow of this energy.
Find a quiet space where you feel safe to move and express yourself - ideally outside in the forest, in your garden, or somewhere surrounded by plants and Earth energy. If that’s not possible, bring natural elements inside (a stone, a flower, a candle).
Put on a playlist that makes you feel alive, soft, and connected - music that inspires movement and helps you drop out of the mind and into the body.
1. Arrive + Body Scan
Lay down on your back, perhaps supported by a bolster or pillow under your knees.
Place one hand on your belly and the other wherever feels supportive (heart, womb, solar plexus).
Close your eyes.
Begin with a slow body scan: notice where there is ease, where there is tension, where sensation calls your attention. Breathe into these places, allowing awareness to soften them without judgment.
2. Gentle Awakening
Begin to stretch your fingers wide, then release. Wiggle your toes, circle your wrists and ankles.
Let this small awakening ripple through the body - stretching arms overhead, elongating the legs, rolling gently side to side.
3. Intuitive Flow
Roll onto hands and knees. Explore gentle cat–cow waves, moving with your breath.
Add in side stretches, circles of the hips, or twisting through the spine - letting your body guide the shapes rather than your mind.
Continue following sensation. Where is your body asking you to open? To release? To pause?
4. Surrender into Movement
As the music carries you, let your movements grow more fluid and instinctive.
You may find yourself swaying, rocking, spiraling, or slowly rising into a rhythmic dance. Allow your body to shape the expression - there is no “right” way to move here.
If emotion arises, let it move through sound, breath, or tears.
5. Integration + Grounding
Gradually slow your movement and come back to stillness, sitting or lying down.
Place your hands on your body where they naturally want to rest. Whisper to yourself: “I trust the wisdom of my body. I surrender control and allow myself to be guided.”
Take a few deep breaths, feeling your connection to the Earth beneath you.
