On May 1st at 10:21pm PST/May 2nd 1:21am EST, the Moon reaches her fullness in Scorpio at 11°, directly opposing the Sun in Taurus. This is a Full Moon that does not let us look away. It pulls us beneath the surface… into the places where attachment, desire, fear and truth all live together.
However, across the sky, Taurus reminds us to stay rooted in the body… to breathe, to soften, to remember that even in the depths of transformation, we are still alive. It reminds us to stay present to the life and beauty unfolding in the simple moments of life.
This is the polarity of life and death, of blooming and decay and of holding and surrendering. In this moment, we are being asked to feel both.
The Axis of Life & Death: Taurus & Scorpio
Like everything in astrology (and life), two opposing forces are actually more similar than we think. Opposite in this sense actually means that they complete each other... they are partners in a cycle.
Scorpio belongs to late autumn… when the leaves have fallen, when life returns to the soil, when the world asks us to trust in what we cannot see. It is the realm of endings, grief, shadow, intimacy and the unseen forces that bind us to one another.
Taurus, on the other hand, belongs to the height of spring… when the flowers bloom, when the earth softens, when life becomes tangible again. It is the realm of embodiment, pleasure, stability and what we can hold in our hands. Together, they teach us something essential: Nothing is ever truly lost. It is only transformed.
What we release in Scorpio becomes the nourishment for what we grow in Taurus. And this Full Moon… illuminates exactly where that transformation is happening in your life.
Uranus, Venus & Pluto: The Shock of Awakening

There is an undeniable electricity running through this lunation. With Uranus newly in Gemini (as of April 25th) and separating from its conjunction with Venus (the ruler of this Taurus Sun), we are experiencing rapid shifts in how we relate, how we think and what we value.
This is not slow, gentle change, but sudden awareness, unexpected conversation, unconventional connections and truths that arrive before we are ready to feel them. And as Venus and Uranus form a flowing trine to Pluto in Aquarius (one of Scorpio’s rulers) the deeper purpose becomes clear: Transformation is not optional right now.
Pluto asks us to evolve. Uranus asks us to liberate. Venus asks us to re-evaluate what we truly desire. Together, they are reshaping our relationships… not just with others, but with ourselves. Our self-worth, values, patterns of attachment and even our willingness to stay where we are no longer aligned.
The Tension of Change: Moon Square Pluto
As if the invitation to transformation wasn’t already clear… the Scorpio Moon and Taurus Sun also form a T-square to Pluto. This is where things can feel intense. Where emotions rise from places we thought we had already moved through, control slips through our fingers, and something we have been holding onto begins to loosen… whether we are ready or not.
This aspect can bring power struggles, emotional confrontations, or the realization that something we’ve been building… is no longer sustainable in its current form. At this time, it’s important to remember that this is not destruction for the sake of destruction. It is a sacred dismantling. The kind that makes space for something more honest to emerge.
The release point for this tension sits in Leo, where the asteroid Eros can currently be found. This is an invitation into deeper levels of authenticity… allowing ourselves to shine our light and take up space as we stay connected to our Eros, our passion, and our true desires.
The Boomerang Yod: Where Tension Seeks Release

Threaded through this Full Moon is a karmic configuration… a boomerang Yod involving Venus in Gemini, Saturn in Aries, the Moon in Scorpio, with the release point in the Sun in Taurus. This speaks to pressure building around: Relationships, commitments, boundaries, financial realities., energetic entanglements.
There may be a feeling of being pulled in multiple directions… of needing to make a choice, but not yet having clarity. The medicine is simple… though not always easy: Return to Taurus. To the body, to what is steady and simple. Return to what nourishes you - eating well, resting, moving slowly, touching the earth. Not everything needs to be decided in the intensity of the moment. Some things only become clear once the nervous system settles.
Fated Crossroads: Venus, Uranus & The Nodes
Venus and Uranus also form a tense square to the lunar nodes… creating a T-square that points toward Sagittarius as its release. This is where the story widens and we are asked to step beyond black and white thinking and rigid narratives about love and security. This energy may bring unexpected meetings, sudden endings or beginnings, connections that feel electric but unclear, and moments that feel fated.
These experiences are here to expand your perspective, to teach you to hold paradox, and to stay open without abandoning your boundaries. With the nodes in Virgo and Pisces, the deeper lesson is discernment: What is mine to hold? And what am I carrying that was never mine to begin with?
Mars, Saturn & Jupiter: Courage at the Edge
Mars, one of Scorpio’s rulers, is moving through Aries and in wide conjunction with Saturn… while forming tension to Jupiter. This is a call to step forward… even when it feels uncomfortable. To take risks that challenge your current identity… and to act from a deeper, instinctual knowing.
There may be friction here; moments where you doubt yourself... but growth rarely happens within the comfort zone. It's Aries job to forge a new path… and this Full Moon is asking you to trust that you are ready for what is unfolding.
Mercury Conjunct Chiron: The Healing Voice
Mercury meets Chiron in Aries, offering an opportunity to speak what has not been spoken. To express truth… not perfectly, but honestly. And to reclaim your voice where it has been silences out of fear of rejection.
This is especially potent as it loosely connects to the Taurus Sun… linking the throat and the body. There is something here about the connection between voice and desire, expression and embodiment, and the throat and the womb.
The same tissues moving through different forms remind us that to speak your truth is to honour your body… and to honour your body is to speak your truth.
The Body as Oracle: Taurus & Scorpio Within You

As always, this Full Moon lives not only in the sky… but within your body. Scorpio governs the sacral and solar plexus… your desire, your instincts, your sexual energy and power. Taurus governs the heart and the throat… your capacity to love, receive, express and feel safe.
Notice what is alive here. Where are you holding tension? Where are you craving closeness… or space? Where is your body asking for more honesty?
This is not just about relationships with others, but about your relationship with your own energy. Your life force, boundaries, and capacity to give and receive.
Working With the Scorpio Full Moon
This is not a Full Moon to force release, but to witness, feel and become aware of what is shifting. The actual release often comes in the days that follow… once the clarity has landed. So let this be a moment of deep listening first.
This lunation reminds us of something ancient…. life and death are not separate. Endings are not failures, and transformation is not something happening to us… but something moving through us. You are not being undone… you’re being reshaped. Somewhere, beneath the surface… something new is already beginning to bloom.

Where is 11 degrees of Taurus/Scorpio in my chart? How does that relate to the themes described above?
What am I afraid to lose… and what might that loss actually be creating space for?
Where am I holding onto control instead of allowing transformation?
What am I learning about my patterns in love, intimacy, or attachment?
Where am I being asked to expand my perspective, even if it feels uncomfortable?

Embodiment Practice
Scorpio is a water sign, and water holds memory, emotion, and transformation. Create a simple ritual to flow with the energy of this lunation:
Fill a bath, sit by a river, or even hold a bowl of water in your hands.
Place one hand on your womb (or lower belly)… and one on your throat.
Breathe. Notice what arises.
You might ask:
What am I holding that is ready to transform?
Where am I being asked to trust the cycle of life?
Let the water hold what you cannot yet release. You don't need to force anything, just soften enough for it to move.
